Profile

Partner at BAUMANN Resolving Disputes in Hamburg, with over 15 years of experience in arbitration and litigation. Kathrin represents clients in complex legal disputes before arbitral tribunals and state courts across all areas of commercial law, with a focus on cross-border matters. She has particular expertise in corporate law disputes, post-M&A proceedings, D&O liability cases, and disputes relating to real estate, financial transactions, and the maritime industry. She also advises on large-volume contracts with technical backgrounds, serving clients in the energy, IT, and manufacturing sectors.

In addition to her practice as counsel, Kathrin regularly sits as arbitrator in national and international proceedings under various rules (sole arbitrator, party-appointed arbitrator, and presiding arbitrator). She is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and currently serves as Co-Chair of the DIS Industry Group Technology. Before joining BAUMANN, Kathrin spent over ten years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer‘s Dispute Resolution practice in Hamburg, followed by a role as General Counsel of an international shipping company in Singapore.
